This Journey is one of the most difficult, emotionally and financially draining that you will most likely embark on in your whole life. The support and information on IVF forums and extrememly valuable, and it is highly recommended that you spend some time on there reading other peoples' questions to learn about the process and ask questions of your own.....about the clinic you have chosen, about the process, about other people's experiences, etc. Do not shelter yourself from the IVF community to "spare yourself stress". You will reduce your stress when you are that much more informed and supported by hundreds of women going through the same thing as you are.

DO NOT get overwhelmed by the acronims. They are easy to learn, and you will be a pro at it yourself in no time. Here is a guide to IVF acronyms, followed by the forum in Canada and the States respectively.

and in the States. You need to click on "Forum" and register first.

You may also chose to publish your own blog when going through your IVF journey. Either for support from other IVF bloggers, to keep a chronicle for your future child and/or to inform close friends and family of the progress of your journey, so you don't have to continually update everyone who knows you are going through this. Blogs have a security setting to either be open or closed to the internet. If you are concerned about privacy, close it off and only give your chosen audience the link.
Blogger and Word Press are examples of free blog sites. I found my IVF blog support group on IVF.ca
